Geocache Description:

These caches were placed with permission from the Wood Co. BOE. The cache is a peanut butter jar located right off the path from one of many benches throughout the arboretum.

Edison Arboretum was original built by the Wood County school system in 1960’s era. In 2001 the community project was adopted by the Wood County Master Gardeners. Since it was adopted the paths were completed, widened, and completely restored using recycled shingles as the paths service. The trail is used by local residents to walk through the Arboretum. Local schools also use the trails to provide students with an outdoor learning environment using the outdoor classroom located within in the arboretum. In addition, the schools use these trails as a practice area for the football and cross-country track teams.

Arboretum open till dusk!
