Old Port Series #7 Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cache-tech: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have had no contact with the cache owner since my last note and there has been no notes posted to the cache page in that time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future. If you do not plan on replacing/repairing your cache, please CITO any remains returning the site to the original state before you placed your cache.

Thanks for your understanding,
Cache-tech

Geocache Description:

This cache is the last in a series. The coordinates are false and the actual coordinates are within the other six caches in this series. Like all others this is an Old Port beef pail in a green plastic bag. You can park at the coordinates provided and it is a short walk from there.

This is one of seven in a series of caches called “The Old Port Series” They are numbered one to seven. The seventh cache being a mystery cache and the coordinates listed on that cache are not accurate. The actual coordinates are found in part on each of the first six caches in the series. You will have to look within each cache where a single clues is given in several locations. Each cache contains a first to find card and also contains a Geocache Card with a code number and letter which when put in a certain combination will spell the surname of the original settlers of the property on which the mystery cache is located. You must figure out the combination, it is easy!!!! There is a first to find prize in #7 and a special prize will be awarded to anyone who is first to find all seven . Just leave you details on the back of the first to find card(s) along with the name of the original settlers and leave it/them in #7. Not to worry if you don’t find all seven as a card will be drawn from the #7 Cache once all the first to find cards have been deposited. That person will receive the special mystery prize by mail.

All the caches are Old Port 2kg beef pails containing Geocache note, Log book, pencil and sharpener, FTF card, Geocache Card, and an assortment of exchangeable items. They are all in the South River area.

Each of the 7 caches in this series has a connection to my ancestors.

Contents: First finders prize, golf tee, fox 40 whistle, Screech key chain, clothes pin, mini teddy bear, glass alley, glass marble, set of dice. Log book, pencil , sharpener, FTF card, Geocache Card. Please leave sharpener in the cache.
