How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Your phone sounds that familiar sound of a new voice message. Funny, you don’t remember the phone ringing and weren’t expecting a call. “I wonder what this could be about” …

Wrong Number

About the cache:

This is a very physically demanding cache. It is not for children. Groups are encouraged.

Don’t do this cache alone.

The hike and all the stages will take a solid day. It is un-necessarily long. Trails are good at the start and non-existent at the end. Somewhere in between you will be bushwhacking.

Some stages may not be available after extremely heavy rains.

You will get wet.

You will need climbing gear for one stage including a Rap and Climb. There is no walk around on this so bring climbing shoes. The climb is a 60-degree slab maybe 5.5 but with the lichen it’s more like 5.7. There are some large chunks of loose rock so please be very careful. You will need 100-130ft of webbing for the anchor (leave the rack at home). You may want to consider the possibility of hauling your climber back up.

If you don’t know how to climb and can’t find someone that does let me know and I will give you alternate coordinates to that stage (post FTF).

For those who don’t have my number feel free to send me a note a few days in advance and I will send it to you. Just in case …

Park at posted coordinates or you can park in the middle at N41 27.624 W73 04.026 and leave your climbing gear in your car until the second half.

Remember sometimes you need to go backwards to go forwards

For redundancy some elements are duplicated. If you find 2 of the same exact thing good for you but it means nothing.

Do down load Cliff_Hanger’s Two Towers Series caches… you can find most of them along the way.

Make the most fun of this cache by getting into the story.

The fourth and final edition of the PMC series.

There will be a number of caches in this series to complete and each will contain a code word. Your mission is to collect all the code words and go to the *final cache page* to get information to complete the series.

This version of the PMC is meant to test you both physically and mentally. It will push you to your limits and beyond. If you are afraid of anything, do not attempt this! You will most likely encounter some of your greatest fears while doing the caches in this series.

DISCLAIMER!!!!!! - Because of the geocache rating syatem, we can not rate any of the caches in this series higher that a five star terrain. These caches are DEFINITELY not 5 star terrain caches. If such a thing existed, these caches would be rated between 6 and 10 stars. Read each cache page carefully to make sure you have the proper equipment, physical capabilities and knowledge to complete the cache. Some of the caches in this series could be dangerous and/or just downright scary for some cachers. This series is not for everyone and the individual cache owners and the series creators are not responsible or liable for any danger to your physical well being or damage to your person or property. DO NOT bring children on these adventures.

This series is meant to be fun, entertaining and enjoyable. If hanging in the air, trudging through muck and mud, going into dark tight places, bugs, getting dirty and seeking that ultimate rush is not your thing, this series is NOT FOR YOU!

All that said, be careful out there, take proper precautions and above all...HAVE FUN!!!
Thanks for visiting our creations!!!
