Plessey Woods Country Park is set in 100 acres of woodland,
meadows and riverside. With plenty of parking and good public
transport links, it is an ideal place for a family day out.
Plessey Woods Country Park is on bus routes from nearby towns
including Blyth, Cramlington, Bedlington, Morpeth, Ashington and
Newcastle. Bus stops are at Hartford Bridge, Hartford Hall, and
Hartford Bridge Village.
This series follows a walk through Plessey Woods, along the main
path. None of the caches stray far from the path, and should be
pretty easy to get. There are steps however, so not all caches will
be accessible to buggies and wheelchairs.
#3 - Find Your Quarry
Continue along the path until you find the path divides. Take
the lefthand path down to the riverside walk. Head down the stairs,
over the bridge and continue along the path.
You will reach an area which shows evidence of being quarried
and what looks like remains of timber building supports in the rock
face.
Container is a small tupperware affair with room for small
trinkets.
