Geocache Description:

This is part of a walk through Plessey Woods Country Park, in Northumberland, near Cramlington. There are 5 Geocaches in the walk. Buggies might struggle with some of the steps, wheelchairs sadly out.

Plessey Woods Country Park is set in 100 acres of woodland, meadows and riverside. With plenty of parking and good public transport links, it is an ideal place for a family day out.

Plessey Woods Country Park is on bus routes from nearby towns including Blyth, Cramlington, Bedlington, Morpeth, Ashington and Newcastle. Bus stops are at Hartford Bridge, Hartford Hall, and Hartford Bridge Village.

This series follows a walk through Plessey Woods, along the main path. None of the caches stray far from the path, and should be pretty easy to get. There are steps however, so not all caches will be accessible to buggies and wheelchairs.

#4 - Meadow View

A bit of a longer walk to this cache. You can if you like pick up a bonus cache on route: GC22D3J.

If you follow the path along the river and round past two clearings and a jetty. On the right is a set of steps which lead up to the meadow. Climb these and then follow the sign back to the visitor centre.

This return journey will take you through a meadow with great views of the surrounding woodland.

Stick to the path and you'll not go far wrong.

The cache is a 35mm style can.
