Solve the puzzle to arrive at the actual location.

The description contains all you need to solve the puzzle.

The PMC2 is a series of fiendishly difficult puzzle created by 18 of the best Puzzle Masters in the Mid-Atlantic Region. In each of these caches you will find a user name and password. After you enter each user name and password into the site listed below, you will be taken to a page with a short puzzle and ultimately a final puzzle piece. Assemble these pieces and find the final cache!

BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY HERE

This series is designed to lead you on an epic adventure that will require Master puzzle-solving skills and extensive travel to unique locations. You must travel and log in at each cache in order to claim a find on the final. Due to the extensive time and effort put into this challenge, the cache can be done as a group but each member of the group must go to each cache site and sign each log. Dividing into sub groups and pooling their efforts will not be allowed.

All 18 caches will be released sporadically between now and the EVENT to be held in June. To make them easy to find we have created a WEBSITE that will have a complete list of all the available PMC caches in all 4 series as they are published.

(This cache is a metal container
approx. the size of 2 ammo boxes.
It is WELL-STOCKED with great swag and
hidden in typical "Highlands manner".)

PMC2: No Rest For The Weary

Having just completed a mission several days in the past, I was catching up on some "earthly" responsibilities
(i.e., being normal like the rest of the world) and
starting to unwind after the debriefing.
For some unknown reason, I had forgotten to shut off my satellite phone and it responded with a familiar - but not welcome at this time - tone.
I recognized the incoming call as that of another agent,
my friend and my mentor when I first started my career in this game of subterfuge.
The indicators for scrambled and encoded signal were lit, meaning conversation would be secure.
As I answered, an excited, out-of-breath voice cut me off,

"Listen closely, they are closing in
... and I don't have much time left."

The words were labored and desperate.

"They got me, but they don't know it yet; I'm bleeding out.
You will shortly receive something.
It contains a coded location, which you will need to find and finish my mission...
I wouldn't entrust this to anyone else - it's that important!
Remember all the lessons I gave you
when you were a fledgling,
especially when dealing with codes from your team -
simple, succinct, secure and hidden in plain view of all.
Take care and PLEASE do your best;
this mission is VERY IMPORTANT and TOP SECRET.
Gotta go now, gotta have my last "meal";
I am told it tastes like almonds!
No way I want them to have any chance
of getting any info from me.
I will destroy my phone
so they can't tie in any connection to you.
Thanks for all your years of friendship - goodbye!"

And with that, the phone went dead -
and my good friend with it.
Godspeed!

Within 48 hours I received the following via courier. I needed to decode these ciphers to locate what my friend had left me.

N 41 (E-C) (U-V). (L) (J) (P)
W 074 (B) (Z) . (T) (F) (D)

There are several approaches
(different parking and trailheads),
but you will have a dirt road/trail to follow to the cache.
As part of your assignment, you will have to figure out where the cache is
and where your access is.
The area is supposed to be a safety zone,
but I am not 100% sure;
for safety purposes, assume hunting is allowed,
dress and act accordingly.
The area is home to many species of animals
(bears, snakes, ticks, among them)
Please know what to do if you have an encounter.

Enjoy!
Good luck on your "mission"!

Congrats to trowel32 for FTF!
