Geocache Description:

This cache is one of twelve in Baden-Powell Council's "Cache to Eagle" series, showcasing Eagle Scout projects.
This particular Eagle Scout project is in Oak Grove Cemetery, it was to build the sign and restore the long-neglected cemetery.
The cache is a small plastic box filled with Boy Scout goodies.

The cemetery is unfenced and has no posted hours, but please have respect for the area and avoid caching at night. The cache is away from any gravestones.

Reaching the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America requires years of dedication and hard work. In addition to 21 required merit badges, each Scout must complete a project.

This cache is part of a nationwide geocaching series called “Cache to Eagle” that showcases these special contributions.

Over its first 100 years, Scouting has provided millions of hours of service to communities across America. For our 100th Anniversary, we’re celebrating that legacy with special service opportunities through “A Year of Celebration, A Century of Making a Difference.” You can join us, and even earn a commemorative patch! Visit Scouting.org/100years to learn more.

We’ve hidden eleven other caches to showcase other Eagle Scout projects. Find all 12! Search for “Baden-Powell Council, Cache to Eagle”. If you collect the keywords in all 12 caches and turn them in via postcard (there are cards in each cache), you receive a Cache to Eagle patch from the Boy Scouts of America (while supplies last!).
