You are looking for a camo large pill container with room for small trade items. There is a pencil with the log book, but BYOP just in case. A FTF prize was placed with the log book. Please replace the container as you found it.
Parking is at the North end of the dam at Lake Carl Blackwell by the USDA Hydrolic Research station. From SR 51 take Redlands Road to Lakeview Road and follow the signs for the Hydrolic Station. From the parking area it is a little over a half mile hike across the flat top of the dam to the cache site. The area around the cache site is rocky, so watch your step while searching.
Alternatively you can access the cache area by boat on the lake. Just be careful pulling the boat up to the dam. The land drops off very quickly and there are large rocks underwater along the edge.
The dam is subject to the University's use fee's and regulations pertaining to the lake. At the parking site there is a drop box for daily permit envelopes. When the cache was placed it was a $5.00 per vehicle. See LCB's website for more info (visit link) .
The spillway at the end of the dam, just past the cache site is a great place for fishing. Just be careful of the water currents on the spillway.
