Geocache Description:

Big Creek #1

Water has always been important to the history and development of Louisiana. Every bayou, lake, creek and bay has its own history and resources. Big Creek is about 75 miles long and rises in West Carroll Parish. It flows SW to Boeuf River west of Winnsboro, Louisiana.

.
The creek is a place that has offered lots of fun times fishing and swimming. The fishing is still a fun pastime and you see a lot of people fishing below the bridge. The creek supplies a lot of the water used for irrigation of crops.

We placed this cache so cachers passing through could pick up some quick caches in a loop thru this area.

Happy Caching.
