  • En microburk utan penna.

Hällfors gamla vattensåg var i drift från 1877 till 1946. Här sågades och hyvlades virke för den lokala marknaden. "State-of-the-art" hyvelmaskin och spelk för tillverkning av takstickor var sågens tekniska höjdpunkter förutom då själva vattendrivningen.
Sågen rustades upp under 1980-talet för AMS-pengar men tidens tand har åter gjort renovering nödvändig.
Platsen i sig är väl inte så märkvärdig men kraftkällan till sågen, Bjurbäcken med den lilla dammen, har ju viss charm och det är ju icke desto mindre ett stycke svensk och norrbottnisk industrihistoria.

Hällfors old water-sawmill was in operation from 1877 to 1946. Here timber was sawn and planed for the local market. State-of-the-art planing machine and the manufacture of ceiling tiles were the technical highlights of the sawmill except the water-driven function.
The sawmill was renovated in the 1980s with AMS-money but the ravages of time has once again made renovations necessary.
The place is in itself not so remarkable, but the power supply to the mill; Bjurbäcken with the little pond, has some charm and of course it's nevertheless a piece of Swedish and North Bothnian industrial history.
