Geocache Description:

This traditional hide is located on a dirt road in Manchester State Forest. The road leading in runs along the old railroad bed that once ran from Manchester to the Sumter Junction. It is usually in good shape, most of the year, and will take you directly to a small parking area at the end of the pond.

The container is a small plastic box with a log book, pen and a few small trade items. It is hidden along the upper edge of Campbell Pond, between two trails (the reception is best on the upper trail) very near where there may be people fishing. Watch carefully for others and be sure to cover the hide well to keep it safe.

Be aware of the possibility for snakes, spiders, wasps, ticks, mosquitoes, ants and other creatures you expect to see in a South Carolina forest, near a pond. Have fun and enjoy the View!

How do you identify a dogwood after the leaves fall? (See hint)
