10 Years Geocaching, Past, Present & Future 2000
A short distance from the trails, exploring Wichita KS.
In conjunction with Kansas Geocaching and the Wichita Geocaching Society Annual Picnic, we placed this series of caches. They placed on Rails to Trails and the Bike paths right here in the city that many may not have known existed. A very special thanks to James Bridger who donated the containers.
These were placed while I was mountain biking these trails and I was amazed with some of the things I found along the way, right here in the city.
Strawberries, Mulberries, honeysuckle, more wild flowers than one could count and even a wild turkey were observed. Some of these will be really easy to find, some will take a bit more of thinking. Bring your own pen(cil), and please be sure that you snap the lid securely.
I opted out of placing the Cache note / log sheet in small plastic bags, as it seems like the majority of people fail to reseal them any way.
Be a good steward of geocaching, if the log is full, take a second to add an additional sheet, something that should be needed until the first hundred or so sign it!
On the same token, if it gets damp, feel free to replace it. If this is too much to ask, then please drop me a note and I’ll get it take care of , but at least help with the integrity of the caches, hid it better than you found, and hopefully in the same place.
