Started in 1923 as the Village of Lancaster Municipal Park (now
Como Lake Park), is today the 3rd largest in Erie County.
Named after the Beautiful Lake Como in Northern Italy. It
contains a wonderful waterfall, a Light house, great fishing,
trails on islands, a frisbee golf course, basketball, iceskating,
tobogon hill, creek walking and much more. Not to mention the some
very interesting GeoCaches.
When our family first emmagrated to the USA (from Ireland) our
first home was just blocks from here. I would meet some of my new
friends back in the area of this cache.
I would recommend that you park at the co-ords listed, then
depending on the water level in the little creek cross over or
better yet take the burnt out little bridge that the cache is named
after.
On your way to the cache check out the weird twisted tree then
proceed to the cache.
I planted two caches today (this and "Tar Under My Wheels") and
these will be the last in this area for a while, so enjoy.
I knew Cayuga Crew Lived close and that he would be watching,
Congratulations on the FTF
