The babbling brooke of Griffith Spring is a wonderful place to spend the afternoon and have a picnic. I placed the cache here because I love this area & it'll give me another reason to come out here :) After finding this cache, there are some great little swimming holes that kids love to pay in, that are well shaded, and they are excellent places to have a picnic. I put the cache away from the main muggle hangout area, but they can still see you when passing by on the trail, so be sneaky :)
You will park in the Griffith Spring parking area where there is a vault toilet & picnic tables so if you want to hang out there that's cool, but the area that the cache is in is an awesome place to just relax. The main trail is a 1 mile loop. When you start out on the trail you will come to an intersection, either way is fine: if you start out going to the right, which will take you to the top of the canyon, then the connecting trail that follows the brooke into the canyon will be on your right; if you start out going to the left then the connecting trail will be on your left, easy. You can't get lost, the main trail is a loop. It is a very well maintained trail, only a little muddy in some spots because of the wetlands.
Cache is a decon container, no pen/pencil so bring your own.
Please hide as well if not better than you found :) Also, I have replaced the old cache with a new water proof decon container so please make sure that when closing the cache you hear all 4 sides click.
