How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
Geocaching in Scouting is becoming more popular recently, so much so that compassing is starting to take a back seat. So to celebrate the 1st Australian Jamboree in Frankston (Only one to be attended by Founder Lord Baden Powell) I have placed a series of caches around the jamboree site. You don’t have to do these in any order. BYO Pen
You are looking for eight caches with information to find a final ninth cache, they are hidden around lots of houses, so stealth is a must and privacy must be respected. The Final cache can be found at – S DG° HA.FGG - E CFB° HE.HGA
1st Pan Pacific Jamboree - Closing Ceremony
A Display arena was used in the area but unfortunately now it is full of houses so I will locate this cache to where the Large Grandstand was moved to after the jamboree finished. This is the home of Frankston football club, the dolphins play here and is one of the VFL clubs the only team that is not a corresponding reserves team for AFL. Some games are even televised on ABC.
The grandstand remained a historical landmark until 12 February 2008 when it was burned down. It seated 1400
You can currently see the new grandstand being built, personally I hope it looks similar to the old one.
Be Warned some areas can draw Parking Ticket Attention, Try Parking on High st
As the final Mystery is now a Multi - You Don't need to note The clues anymore just find and log - If it is in there just disregard it
