On a sand spit by Braeshore on the Middle River of Pictou.
This cache is called "Cameron's Spit" after the owner of the campground near its location. Permission has been given by the campground owner to access the beach from the campground. Parking is available near the trail head but on the campground side only.
Please do not park on Lowden's Lane. It is a private driveway and no parking is available.
NOTE: PLEASE, SINCE THIS CACHE IS ON PRIVATE LAND BY PERMISSION OF THE CAMPGROUND OWNER, BEFORE YOU PASS THROUGH THE CAMPGROUND TO THE CACHE LOCATION, PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHECK IN WITH THE CAMPGROUND OWNER, CAMERON, AT THE OFFICE, BEFORE YOU GO DOWN TO THE BEACH TO TRY TO FIND THE CACHE.
From the Beach Access Trail Head, there is a walk of about 900-1000 metres to the cache location. The walk is a relatively easy walk on the sand along the river to the end of the sand spit where the cache is located.

May 2011 - Cache container has been replaced by a new lock-n-lock container in the same hiding spot. Original cache container was lost in the winter storms and high tides
