Geocache Description:

This is my first cache and I am excited to place it in my newest favorite trail. If you park at where I suggested it should be a 5 minute walk...and you get to see my favorite tunnel...and the first reason I liked this trail. Happy hunting!

The Bruce Freeman Trail is a proposed rail trail through the communities of Lowell, Chelmsford, Westford, Carlisle, Acton, Concord, Sudbury, and Framingham in Massachusetts -- following the 25-mile route of the old New Haven Railroad Framingham & Lowell line.

Phase 1 (6.8 miles in Lowell, Chelmsford, and Westford) is now open.Phase 2 in Westford, Carlisle, Acton, Concord, and Sudbury (13.1 miles) and Phase 3 in Sudbury and Framingham (4.6 miles) are proposed extensions.

The Bruce Freeman Trail is open to non-motorized uses such as cycling, jogging, walking, and skiing. Other uses such as rollerblading and equestrian use may also be possible depending on the design.

This cache is a M&M Minnie Container hidden a stones toss (Shorter then a throw) from the pavement trail. Be very careful of muggles! It's a high muggle area around commuter hours for the large business down the street. Lunch hour in the spring summer and fall make for lots of walkers. When finding this cache you will be visible to both directions of the trail...Be prepared to wait...Please be kind to the vegetation! Once you get near the cache feel free to put down the gps and actually look...My Husband forgets that part! Good luck!
