WHERE'S THE BEEF? *ARCHIVED 8-12-13* Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

The Scout Master: I went by today to check on the cache due to a DNF. The cache was right where it should be. However, this one continues to have problems, the area is not good at night, and the cache location has been overtaken by brush, so I have decided to archive it. Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

When sales flattened, the company formerly located here struggled to achieve brand differentiation in the highly competitive fast-food market. Starting on January 9, 1984, elderly actress Clara Peller was featured in the successful "Where's the Beef?" commercial campaign. Her famous line quickly entered the American pop culture (it was even used by Walter Mondale in a debate with Gary Hart in the Democratic primary election) and gave W-_-_-_-'s hamburgers a boost. Peller, age 84, was dropped from the campaign in 1985 because she performed in a commercial for a spaghetti sauce, saying she "finally found" the beef.

Let's hope YOU can find the beef....er, ahh, cache.

You are searching for a large pill bottle about 4" tall and 2" wide. It is hidden from view and may not look like a pill bottle.
Be careful when retrieving and replacing it.
Look for a geocaching logo nearby.

**NOTE** be aware of some broken glass here.

This cache is handicap accessible, but you must go over a standard curb, and there is broken tile/pavement.

I recommend doing this one in the daytime (this area has been reported to be dubious for safety after dark).

You MAY need to be Very STEALTHY, as this now-vacant lot has a good number of folks who use it as a cross-path.

Thanks to OconeeBell for telling me about this location.
