This cache was place by the Roxbury Central School Class of 2017 on the grounds of Shephard Hills Golf Course. A lock n lock container. Placed with permission from the Adamiak Family.
The cache is located near Kirkside Lake, In the early 1900's, Kirkside Lake supplied ice for the Village of Roxbury in the winter months and recreation for the summer. Shephard Hills, a 9-hole course, open to the public, opened in 1918. From the cache you can see the course and restaurant. Golf Course Road is a dirt road with a hairpin turn a 1/4 mile from the cache. When parking you can pull over on the grass at the bottom of the hill, please stay off the cart path.
