Klump - Der "Earth-Multi"
Raseneisenstein ist ein braunschwärzliches, sehr poröses und eisenhaltiges Gestein. Er entstand in klumpenartigen Ablagerungen ca. XX cm unter der Wiesenoberfläche und wird daher „Klump“ genannt. In Norddeutschland bildeten sich Lagerstätten nach der letzten Eiszeit. Seit der Eisenzeit wurde Raseneisenstein in Mitteleuropa zur Eisengewinnung abgebaut und verhüttet. In Mecklenburg ist die Eisenproduktion aus heimischem Klump seit ca. YYY v. Chr. bekannt. Aufgrund von Holzmangel endete sie Mitte des ZZ. Jahrhunderts. Danach wurde Klump in steinarmen Landschaften als billiger Baustoff genutzt.
Bis ich vor kurzem den Eartcache Die Raseneisenerzfläche von Büttjebüll in meiner Heimat Nordfriesland aufsuchte, wusste ich nicht einmal, dass es Raseneisenerz gibt. Zu Besuch in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern stolperte ich auf einmal über eine Info-Tafel über dieses Material. Tausendmal dagewesen aber nie gesehen... So kam ein Nordfriese dazu in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern einen Earthcache zu haben.
Dieser Earthcache gilt als gefunden, wenn ihr 3 Dinge erfüllt:
1. Begebt euch zu oben angegebenen Koordinaten und findet die Infotafel. Ersetzt die oben im Text fett dargestellten Buchstaben durch die entsprechenden Zahlen und setzt sie dann anstelle der Buchstaben in die folgende e-Mail-Adresse ein (EC.Klump-XX.YYY.ZZ@outlook.de).
2. Beantwortet folgende Fragen und schickt die Antworten an die herausgefundene e-Mail-Adresse. Ihr erhaltet automatisch eine Logfreigabe. Sollten falsche Antworten dabei sein, werde ich euch kontaktieren.
a. Welche beiden Städte ließen hier ihr Bauholz fällen?
b. Aus welchem Land stammt die Vorlage für dieses Gebäude?
c. Wann fand das Experiment statt?
3. Fügt eurem Log ein Foto von euch oder eurem GPS vor einer der zahlreichen historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten, die aus Raseneisenstein sind oder damit zu tun haben hinzu (siehe auf den Info-Tafeln) Achtung: bitte keine Fotos von Privathäusern oder Infotafeln - es gibt genug anderes und der Unterschied ist auch eindeutig! Hinweise auf den Bildern bitte vermeiden!
Zwischen Start und Ziel befinden sich in vielen Orten weitere interessante Info-Tafeln und historische Sehenswürdigkeiten rund um den Raseneisenstein. Viel Spaß und viele Grüße aus NF - im schönsten Bundesland der Welt.

Klump - An "Earth-Multi"
Bog iron is a brownblack porose and ferreous stone. It accrued in clumpy sediments about XX cm under the ground. That's why it is called „Klump“. After the last Ice Age in Northern Germany deposits accumulated. Bog iron has been mined and smelt for iron production in Europe since last Iron Age. In Mecklenburg it has been known since YYY B.C. Due to absence of wood the mining was stopped in the middle of the ZZth century. Later Klump was used as cheap building material.
To log this Earthcache you must do this:
1. Go to the coordinates above, find the information board about bog iron and replace the fat letters through the numbers. Put them in place of the letters in the following e-Mail-adress (XXYYYZZ@go4more.de).
2. Answer the following questions and send them to the e-Mail-adress you just have found out. You will receive the log-permission. If there are mistakes in it I will contact you.
a. Which two cities let fell their construction timber here?
b. Which country delivered the artwork for this building?
c. When did the experiment took place?
3. Add a photo to your log. It must show you or your GPS in front of one of the numerous historical objects of interest in this area. The object must be made from bog iron or must have something to do with it. You'll find them on the infomation board! (No pictures of privat homes or information boards - there are enough other things in this area! Please avoid hints on your pictures!).
