This is one of two caches hidden on a pleasant walk along a public footpath from Begelly towards Thomas Chapel. Parking is available on an old bridge on the New Road just passed the Begelly Arms Pub. You can then head over the stile across a field or walk back to the houses where there is a footpath at the side of one of them, this way is more pushchair friendly.
This is a micro cache that replaces 2 traditional caches we had here previously that were muggled.
The route also makes use of the old "dramway", the former railway line between Thomas Chapel and Begelly, which once carried coal from mines at Broom and Thomas Chapel to Saundersfoot. The hedgebanks abound with plant and bird life, and the ditches alongside the line are alive with frogspawn in the early spring.
The path has recently been re-surfaced so it makes a pleasant walk.
This series of caches are now wheelchair friendly up to Taz's torment 2. After that the next big gate is locked but there are kissing gates to the end. About 2 thirds of the path has had a new layer put on and is a much easier walk.
