Geocache Description:

It's called "Saddle Mountain" for a reason! - see photo -

----------------

The title tells you where the cache is hidden.

For you "ridge runners" hunting this multi-cache, the coordinates will take you to a greenish/yellow coffee can at the "BASE CAMP"; which contains directions to the "TREASURE CHEST". After the coffee can, you just follow the directions in the clue.

I will guarantee this: "If you find the coffee can, you will be able to find the TREASURE CHEST".

Elevation: 1,950'. The object is to get to the site - not to have to hunt for an obscure hiding place. You will have worked hard enough when you get to the area!!!!! My usual artificial looking pile of rocks applies.

NOTE #1 - The road in: There is a "good" road into this cluster. If you get on a bum road - try again.

NOTE #2 - The trail: There is a "really hard way" to get to the Base Camp; and a pretty easy way. When you get close, you may want to follow your hiking instincts - and not follow your GPS.

NOTE #3 - The other way: If you really want to go for a walk you can approach this cache from the east side of The Saddle and either go back that way or continue out by way of the "trail" around to the west and north of the peak. Be sure to mark your starting point and bring extra batteries.

NOTE #4 - In an effort to increase the traffic to this cache let me add a few "getting back in there" suggestions:

Once you are on Courthouse Road look for N33° 27.876'; W113° 03.985'. There is a Speed Limit sign right there. Turn south from Courthouse onto a gravel road.

Almost immediately take the right fork at N33° 27.858'; W113° 03.972'.

The next waypoint is N33° 27.557'; W113° 03.844'. Take the right fork there.

There are a couple of sort of deep washes to cross. 4WD is not necessary. I've made them both in my 2WD toad.

The road is rough but passable. Proceed generally south and a little east towards parking at N33° 26.813'; W113° 03.766'.

From there cross the fence and proceed easterly.
