Geocache Description:

Cache is a lock n lock container.

One of the students at the school I work at did the camo job and has become a cacher himself.

Please return the cache to its original hiding spot.

As with most parks in Queens there are thorns and poison Ivy. I tried to keep the cache close to the trail to avoid both but sometimes that is not possible.

NOTE: If you like Mountain Biking this is a nice trail.

Although you can not see the school (St. Franics Prep) from the cache it is not far away.

The proud traditions of St. Francis Preparatory School stretch back 140 years to a simple building on Baltic Street in Brooklyn, New York. There, in the Fall of 1858, the doors of what was then St. Francis Academy opened for the very first time. The school has twice relocated, first in 1952 to North Sixth Street, again in 1974 to its present location in Queens, and has since been providing intellectual and spiritual growth to young men and women who seek the finest Catholic education available.

St. Francis Prep made headlines in 2009 when when more than 100 students at the St. Francis School developed flu-like symptoms, including fever and sore throat.

The CDC confirmed that there were cases of human swine flu among students at St. Francis Preparatory School.

Classes were can canceled until deemed safe to return.

All of the students recovered fully.
