A shady glen for Juba the dog.
We hike here all year long with our dogs. The big dog with the thyroid problem is heat sensitive and when we hike, he always seeks out the shade. Now, when we see shade ahead, we say "shady glen" and Juba proceeds to run up the trail to the shade and waits for us there.
His canine sister, Tessa Boo helped place Juba's cache. He paid back the favor in San Ramon with Itty Bitty Boo.
This is a nice trail that is off the normal busy grid, esp. in this park which is ususally very busy. This path is a nice change from that!
Poison Oak nearby, although I've been here 2x and handled the vines, leaves, and cache w/o catching PO, so it may be dormant. I did recently spray the area w/ PO spray. Take care and you should be fine.
