Cache is located on beautiful Saturna Island on Walburton Mountain. Ferry service to the island is limited so plan your trip well if you're coming from Vancouver/vancouver island. The way up the mountain is to drive most of the way (cannot bike or walk along road) and then walk about 2km along the path. The alternative hiking route is posted as the first log.. The view from the top is off all the gulf islands and is literally jaw-dropping.the coordinated are wonky at time showing out by 10feet
all-new swag including a travel bug. this has been replaced twice in last year so please return and hide it where you find itMy mom placed this while on the island for her boyfriends 45th birthday, hence the name. The driving portion of the trip is easy and the road only goes one way. Once at the top of the mountain, you will see a parking area and a satelite dish. From the dish, look towards the water with the dish behind you and walk forward to find the path. Once on the path, continue walking about 2 km and then keep your eye out for a strange tree on the cliffside. This strange tree, in particular is covered by big boulders at the base. You can't miss it! There is also a ledge you can safely climb down to in order to reach the tree. Once at the tree, it LOOKS like the perfect place to hide the cache...buuttt, 'turn your back' on it as it is not the place to look.
