This Cache is placed near where the Taconic Crest trail intersects with the Mattison and Bentley hollow trails.
The Mattison trail is longer and comes from the NY side of the mountains with a steep part at the end. The Bentley hollow trail is much shorter, but almost entirely a steep hike. The trail is mostly under tree cover, so getting coordinates was difficult at time with my GPS. This would be much easier in spring or fall before tree's have leaves. If you plan to hike up and over it's nice to have someone who can pick you up on the other side.
