Every once in a while it is time to return to the basics of geocaching. The ABCs of Geocaching series will test you on your basic skills and maybe stretch you a little bit as well.
J is for JOE. The JOE cache series was started by altosaxplayer, a member of the Tri-Cities Geocachers. The name JOE means "Just Off Exit". The series was started as an Interstate 81 equivalent to the "Loop to Loop" cache series that was started in Nashville TN by cgeek. The JOE caches are placed no more than two tenths of a mile from the exit and the hint is a dead give away to the cache location. JOE caches are an easy way to pick up more cache finds while traveling.
This JOE cache is located right off of I-81exit 245. The difficulty level is high because of the amount of muggles that can be present at this location. Parking will be next to impossible at times.
