The site and lot are only open from the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend till the Monday of Labor Day Weekend 9 AM to 9 PM.
The cache is only available during these dates and times, it is not available from the road but is worth the hike.
This site is one of 10 such facilities operating in the United States and only 67 such plants operate world wide. Ludington’s Pumped Storage Facility is nicknamed “The 4th Largest Battery in the World” locals refer to it simply as “The Project”. The next closest plant is in the Catskill Mountains of New York.
Take the paved walkway and stay within the fenced area. There are several sets of benches on the way. You couldn’t have a better place to wait out any muggles at GZ. There is no reason to climb any fences so don’t. You’re looking for a magnetic key holder. Please replace as you found it.
