Cannon Falls Traditional Cache

This cache is part of a series of caches placed along the Cannon River. Most of these caches were meant to be accessed by either hiking, biking or paddling. See the attributes before determining your approach.

You are looking for a geocache that is hidden near the falls in Cannon Falls. A tidbit of geography.. the falls in Cannon Falls are not on the Cannon River but are on the Little Cannon River, which originates south near Nerstrand where several little tributaries merge together to create the one larger river. Whereas the actual Cannon River is fed by several lakes and tributaries from the Rice County area.

Please place the container back as you found it and do not disturb any of the nearby vegetation. If you fail to put the container back properly, it could make its way down to New Orleans.. PLEASE BE CAREFULL as during high water conditions this cache can be more dangerous than any of the caches located downstream. REMEMBER: You are geocaching at YOUR own risk.
