Commemorating Amateur Radio Field Day, 2010! 
This annual event provides emergency communications practice for individuals and organizations and occurs during the 4th weekend in June or June 26-27, 2010. Using only emergency power supplies, ham operators construct emergency communications stations in parks, shopping malls, schools and back yards around the country.
The cache will remain active at least until field Day 2011. See the nearby caches commemorating other Field Days. Hams are urged to include their call sign in the cache log and those that are interested in becoming an Amateur Radio Operator are urged to contact CTGeoHam.
The park entrance is at N41 19.105 W73 04.275 and the 2010 Field Day site is at N41 19.409 W73 4.136. A trail head can be found at N41 19.242 W73 04.257. If the gates are locked, park in the area 50 feet west of the entrance.
