North Middleton
A small village of Midlothian, lying alongside the A7 trunk road, some 2 miles (3 km) southeast of Gorebridge and a half-mile (1 km) southwest of Borthwick. the village of Middleton lies a half-mile (1 km) to the south. The early 18th C. Middleton Hall lies to the southeast and slightly later Arniston House lies 2 miles (3 km) to the west.
Decent footwear is advisable, as the old road is getting rather slippery
