This is such a lovely area... be sure to go to the end of the road.. gorgeous area. While there we saw a herd of Mt. Sheep... 25 - 35, they stopped and watched us from high up on a mtn peak..an owl hooted at us for several minutes. At the cache , as we were leaving a rather loud rattling sound was heard but nothing seen and we didnt linger to check it out.
We would love to hear what shape you see in this piece of lava rock... the kids figured it for an elephant head and trunk... none of them having ever heard of Jimmy Durante... enjoy the drive
