Geocache Description:

The cache is located at Clovass. A historic but barely noticed spot on the Bruxner Highway between Lismore and Casino.
Located on the side of the highway is a boiling pot originally used in the local tallow industry

This is what is written on the plaque onsite:

"This memorial marks the site of Tomki Homestead, originally called Cassino, the first settlement on the Richmond River 1840. The boiling pot was used in the beff industry in the making of tallow the main export of the area for decades.
First boiling took place here in 1847."

The cache is a small, so you will need a pen.
Although this is a kid friendly cache, be sure to keep them safe from the road, as it is a busy highway and 100km/h zone.
