Mundalsdalen
This cache will lead you to Heimastølen in Mundalsdalen (Mundal
valley) near Fjærland. Here you can find abandoned and some still
farmed sæter (mountain pastures) with a lot of sheep and cows. The
mountain pastures in Mundalsdalen have been in use until the late
1950's. The milk of the cows was used for the production of butter
an Gammalost.
From the cache location you can start hiking tours to
Mundalsfjellstølen (1 - 1,5 hours) or to Holten sæter.
