Geocache Description:

Welcome to the IDY series of caches in Idyllwild County Park. This park has a great trail system that includes easy trails for families and strenuous ones for the more athletic.
You can access these caches from the end of Riverside County Playground Road or the Nature Center entrance off Highway 243. There is a day use fee for this area, $2 per adult and $1 per child.

Some try to avoid the fee by parking at the end of Delano but I say let’s help support the parks. All IDY caches are within arm’s reach of the trail, no bushwacking in the County Park!

This is a peanut butter jar located on the old Hillside Trail, now called the lower leg of the Summit Trail. It is 50 feet north of one of the largest oak trees I've found in the park. This is a great spot for kids to scramble on the rocks or climb the tree.
