I accessed this area by boat. Not sure if a hike is even an option. At the end of La Jara Canyon there is a large tree coming up from the middle of the water.. This is where I tied the boat off. Very short swim to the shore. Then a short uphill hike. Be careful. Lots of jagged rocks! I believe you need to be at least 5' 8" tall to reach the hiding spot..
