A small cache celebrating a boat-in campground
The beach and camp area in this spot is one of my favorite places to visit on Lummi Island. It's accessible only by boat, but once you're ashore, it's an easy find.
I motorboat, kayak, row and sail here several times a year. It's secluded and special. And of course deserves a cache.
Which...it used to have, and years ago I logged. (Visit GCQDG4 to relive it, and find out many details about the spot and the people who care for it.)
The new cache is within five feet of the old.
Of course, take the time to explore and read the information. Careful watchers will be rewarded with bald eagles, seals, otters, herons, oyster catchers, and a wide variety of other creatures. CITO, please. Above all, enjoy this amazing place.
