This is 2 of 3 in a circular walk along canal towpath and woodland.

Set near a heritage centre. You will need to go past a pumping station. Pumping commenced in 1892 and continued until 1905 when one engine was removed to serve Walsall canal. The remaining engine was used until 1920.

in 1940 (during WW2) a diesel submarine engine and pump as installed and intended to pump water up to Wolverhampton level should the canal be breached by enemy action and to supply water to the Birmid factory for fire fighting. It was removed in 1946 and the building fell into disrepair. It has now been restored and can be visited.
