Miss Gunn Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ngaambul: As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden near a monument commerating the early pioneers of the Sheringa district.
The cache is a small (300ml) Sistema container container a log book, pencil and swaps.
The cache is located 20m due south of the monument.

The cache is located near a monument that commemorates the early pioneers of the Sheringa region. It was unveiled by a Miss A.F. Gunn on the 16th Day of December 1909. I like the fact that it was an ordinary everyday person and not a big-wig or notable person who unveiled the plaque.
There are not many people living here anymore, but there are still many visitors to the great beaches and camp-grounds down the road nearby. If you are interested in camping overnight the road-house near the cache has the details and camping permits.
The cache is being maintained by local cacher tigger did (who happens to be Echo's mum and Delta's mother in law!) when we are not around, we visit this area several times a year and like the nearby national park.
