Geocache Description:

Old Quarry Trail

I was in the rope business since 1959, and while hiking the new White Oak trail, i spotted coils of wire rope, and old wall or road base, and a rope leading up to a very old white oak tree on top of a strange terrain. As I'm the curious type and love to try to figure out what may have been in the area years ago, I followed the rope.
I found out and you will too? There I am looking at Jurassic basalt in a Triassic Brunswick red shale area (I'm bluffing, they all look like rocks to me)

"This should knot be a hard find, and you should find this WITHOUT A HITCH"

Although there is no real trail, it is not an over-grown area with the likes of rosa multiflora Photo for the geologist and archeologists and geo'ers.

Container is orange bison tube, which may be small but if you understand the clue in the discription, you will find quickly, leaving you time to explore this eerie area, BYOP

Park at Bulls island Park, cross to east side of 29 where you will immediately see the sign for White Oak trail.

When I placed this it was close too 100 degrees F, and It's a nice lonely secluded area, and although I strongly recommend against doing the dangerous what you may think I did, --aaaaah refreshing.
