Rožu laukums ir Liepajas sirds. Kopš 18.gadsimta šaja vieta atradas Jaunais tirgus. Vel šobrid te var redzet ta laika liecibu - blakus esoša eka ar diviem tornišiem senak ir bijusi tirgus galas skarni. 1910.gada, pec tirgus parcelšanas uz tagadejo vietu, pilsetas vara nolema laukuma izveidot atklatu darzu ar rozem, un 1911.gada ši vieta ieguva savu tagadejo nosaukumu - Rožu laukums. Uz rožu dobes apmales var aplukot Liepajas sadraudzibas pilsetu pieminas zimes, kas katra paversta attiecigas pilsetas virziena.Laika no 1911. lidz 1913. g. izveidoja atklatu darzu ar rozem, iestadot ap 500 rožu stadu. Laukums rekonstruets 2000. gada. Rožu laukums ir populara Liepajas jauniešu pulcešanas vieta, par to sacereta populara Livu dziesma “Rožu laukums”.
[ENG] Rose Square is the heart of Liepaja. Since the 18th century on this place was the New Market.
