A small "thirst-aid" cache hidden along the Bloomington Rails to Trails, and a place for Travel Bugs on the run to find a little rest...
Tired legs? TRAVEL BUGS IN NEED OF REST ONLY PLEASE! This geocache in honor of one of our family member’s life passions: Running… and running a long, long way... 26.2 miles long... YIKES! Please note: While we are very proud of her, this is not a shared family passion... running is good for when you are being chased, and only then if the person is a lot bigger than you. Galac-brick #2 has run the Chicago and Columbus Marathons in the past, and she makes an annual trip to run the Indy Mini-Marathon…. In fact, she may be training nearby.
The Bloomington Rails to Trails is the absolute best place for a shaded run or bike ride in the area, and at any time of the year. Built on an old railbed, this is also a fantastic place to explore... go a couple feet off the trail and you may find old railroad spikes, rails, and other artifacts. Between here and the roundabout is our favorite section of the trail cut out through the rocks.
