The cache is named for the mascot of the nearby Houghton Middle and High Schools--The Gremlins. It is hidden along a very nice, little used, public nature trail in the Houghton School Forest.
The dense tree cover may challenge your gps. This trail starts out very easy, but increases in difficulty because roots and rocks make it rough at times. The cache is located near the trail but the terrain becomes more challenging as you approach the hiding place. Please stay on the trails to protect the vegetation--no bushwhacking is necessary.
You are looking for a Lock & Lock container. The cache is not accessible in winter.
There is a small paved parking lot at the trail head which is located on the Gundlach Road across from the City of Houghton Pubic Works Garage.
