Geocache Description:

Trees of Alabama Series: Sourwood - (Oxydendrum arboreum Ericaceae). Deciduous hardwood found commonly in all regions of Alabama. The leaves have a sour taste, hence the name of this species. The hard wood is used for pulp and specialty items. Bees like the flowers (sourwood honey). There is a picture of a Sourwood and it's leaves on the cache log. The container is a camoed Lock-N-Lock and is near the tree which is leaning over a creek. Please return cache as found.
