A fairly easy hide but may be difficult during ball games or times when park visitors are active. Cache is a lock and lock. No mystery here. Be sure to enjoy the scenery.
This is a simple traditional cammo'ed cache in the eastern section of Hamlin Park. It is also part of my desire to maximize the caching opportunities in or near Hamlin Park and South Woods.
You will be looking for a sandwich size lock n lock. There is an un-activated CITO coin for the FTF. There are some small toys and a deck of cards for others.I think the coordinates are probably pretty good but there is tree cover here so be aware.
The cache site is in the most eastern part of Hamlin Park where there a number of additional caches in easy walking distance. Parking is available very nearby and you can make a grand tour of all the caches in Hamlin and South Woods and not have to move your car.
Be sure to check out the glacial erratic about 150’ to the west. It is only about the size of a walrus but it has wonderful glacial polishing and striation that makes it so clearly an erratic. Kind of a cool color too. There are lots of these smaller and lesser known erratics in the area if you just look around. Welcome to Hamlin Park. Enjoy the hunt and the park!
Congrats to mcrt and MaddiesDaddy on their Co-FTF in the wee hours!
Thanks to mcrt for pointing out to me that the park is NOT open 24/7 per city ordinance. Please find this and other Hamlin caches between dawn and dusk.
