Apalachin Marsh walking trails that lie between the east and west bound lanes of highway 17 (86).
It is not typically legal to walk in the median of a highway. However, here it is perfectly legal. You can walk the trails of an Apalachin Marsh that are part of the Waterman Center's trails. Park on route 434 and look for the entrance to these trails that let you enter under the highway. This is a nice little trail hide-away that very few even know about. (At the moment, there is another cache near the entrance and another cache within the trail area.)
