• A place, where music lives;
• A testing ground where multitude of artistic ideas can be invented, developed and explored;
• A stage for contemporary projects in the art of sound; a venue for musical experiments and concert programmes unlimited by genre.
• A platform for educational lecture-recitals and masterclasses for the youth and for children of various ages; a venue for further education programmes for professional musicians.
RESIDENTS OF SPIKERI CONCERT HALL
The best units of professional musicians, the collectives managed by VSIA ‘Latvijas koncerti’, reside in the building: the State Chamber Orchestra ‘Sinfonietta Riga’ and the Latvian Radio Choir. Their daily work takes place here – the rehearsals fill the building with music from the ground floor to the roof. The Latvian Music Information Centre and the recording studio ‘Framest Studio’ occupy the second floor of the building.
VENUE FOR EVENTS
During its short period of existence Spikeri Concert Hall has already become widely popular as a cozy and contemporary space with a historic atmosphere. Concerts of most diverse styles and genres, film screenings, children events, award ceremonies, conferences and corporative events have taken place here. People love this place!
