Geocache Description:

Welcome to one of a series of geocaches placed on Camel's Hump State Park by the land manager.

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates, but may be near a good location for swimming or fishing. Go to reference point #1. From there proceed at a magnetic bearing of 114 degrees for a distance of about 340 feet.

The concrete structure from which you orienteer to the final cache location used to be a water heater for a nearby logging camp with saw mill run by the Forest Mills company in the mid to late 1800's. If you look up inside the structure you will see a metal tank, under which a fire burned to heat the water which was piped from the stream, and then to nearby buildings. You may need a flashlight to get a good look.
