FIRST TO FIND gets a wee bit of real California gold (see photo) I
panned myself near the Mokelumne River in the Mother Lode of
California. It took a lot of work to get even that small amount of
gold out of the creek so I thought it fitting that you have to do
some work finding this cache. Yell, "Eureka!" when you find it.
Background: Tiny glass vial contains gold. The vial is filled
with glycerin. Glycerin is commonly used to display gold dust
because of its viscosity. If you hold the vial sideways and tap on
the end, the gold will spread out so you can see it. Glass tends to
magnify it somewhat.
Of course by the time you get to the cache the gold will be gone
(unless you are first to find.) You will be looking for a bison
tube that is camouflaged.
As always be careful and wear orange during hunting season. May be
buggy in summer. Parking coordinates: N 41° 59.053 W080° 29.607
