This is a magnetic nanocache located in the village of Fernwood. It is well concealed, but easy to obtain once you have located it. The nanocache is accessible from public land - you do not need to enter the tennis courts to find it. Please make sure you firmly attach the nanocache back onto the magnet.
The village of Fernwood lies to the east of the A1. On the opposite side of the A1 lies the site of the former airfield which in the Second World War was RAF Station Balderton. This airfield was initially used by the RAF, but in 1944 was taken over by the US Army Air Force and became USAAF Station AAF-482.
Whilst you're in the area, you might also wish to look for Fernwood #1 (GC2BCHH) and Fernwood #3 - Olympic Gold (GC3TPWB). Not far from here, you'll also find the final cache for A1 Adventure - London to Newark (GC2CX3C), on a trail which starts at St Paul's Cathedral in London and follows the A1 road up to Newark. Happy hunting!
